Beginning March 1, Wing & Clover will be completely devoted to creative workshops- we’re moving our whole operation to our upstairs studio and online to an enhanced website. Our objective is to expand upon our popular, ongoing workshops and explore new ways to broaden our reach including online workshops, trunk shows, maker events, kids classes, W&C products and collaborations with local community and educational groups.
Wing & Clover has always been about encouraging hands-on learning, creating a place in which to reflect and be inspired, and promoting making over shopping. Running the store in Rhinebeck has been a fantastic experience. The vibrant community that you have helped us build allows us to now now focus fully on what we originally set out to do. Thank you very, very much for all of your support- past, present and future!
Everything in the shop is now 20-60% off: yarn, sewing, knitting & art supplies, Fog Linen scarves & dresses, Russian nesting dolls, books, jewelry, fabric bundles, Moleskine, Lovell bins- EVERYTHING! Hurry in! The shop will be open until the end of February.
Now is the time to start crossing off the resolutions on your list such as, “Make something creative and special for myself or someone I care about,” or “Learn something new.” Registering for one of our many upcoming workshops is the first step. Happy New Year to everyone!
This Saturday, December 3, is a day of celebrations! It’s our 2nd anniversary and it’s Sinterklaas, possibly the most delightful, festive and spectacular holiday parade anywhere. We’re celebrating with a free ornament making workshop from 1-3, the lovely Jenny Lee Fowler’s Silhouette Portrait Salon from 12-4, and we’re offering everyone who stops in 10% off their purchase if they mention our anniversary (good through 12.24.11- 1 time use only). We have extended holiday hours and gifts galore- shop small & local this year. See you soon!
This Saturday we’ll be having our last workshop of the year: Flower Pressing & Botanical Printing with the talented Caitlin Parker from 2-5. We have a few spots left. Save the date for Sinterklaas- the most magical holiday festival & parade we’ve ever seen-Saturday, December 3rd. We’ll be holding 2 free workshops in our workspace that day and Jenny Lee Fowler will be here cutting Silhouette Portraits from 12-4. These make amazing gifts!
We have spots in this weekend’s workshops: Woodland Paper Cut Gifts with Jenny Lee Fowler on Saturday 11/5 from 3-5 and Intro to Digital Audio Storytelling with Mia Lobel on Sunday 11/6 from 1-4. Enjoy these shots of our latest window and a recent class. See you soon!

We are blown away by the work accomplished in our latest Make Your Own Dress workshop with Cal Patch- Congrats to everyone! As we head into the last workshops of the year- there is still time to sign on to learn Paper cutting, Digital Audio Storytelling, Embroidery, Pattern making, Botanical Printing, Collage…. Make some gifts for the holidays! If you haven’t stopped by the expanded Rhinebeck shop in awhile, now it the time- we have so many new things: fabric bundles for your projects, linen and silk scarves, wool hats, hand printed tees and so much more!

It’s that fantastic time of the year again when the annual Sheep & Wool festival comes to Rhinebeck and we are over-run by all things wool and knit. In homage to the fest we created a yarn-filled window full of gorgeous, giant skeins created by our own knit genius, Jill Draper. Stop by if you are in town.

Our first workshop in the new space was a resounding success- Rebecca Ringquist worked wonders with a full house of embroiderers! This weekend: Paper Cutting Basics with Jenny Lee Fowler on Saturday from 3-5. Next week: Make Your Own Dress (4 sessions) with Cal Patch and Drawing the Still Life (4 sessions) with Ruby Palmer. Don’t wait to sign up!
